Ohh.... well, not really much to mention. A pice of art which does not need a lot of critique.
Vision: Well, I do not get any deeper sense in this image... Female sitting on the ground in the woods with a violin on her lap - however, I'm sure that it would be easy to give the image meaning. But what I really love and made me vote your image even higher was the letter (or lyrics ... whatever) it's had and would be an awesome sad moment in a move...
Originality Well, the idea is not that original but it's a topic which never gets old or worn. I had to rate it really really down... because the backstory is missing - so there is no really particular feeling within the picture - sadness, joy, solitude, relaxing... all is in there and everyone will pick his own feeling out of this picture... If you underline a specific feeling it would be really really awesome and would be a nice cover of a movie...
Technique Well, I'm not a fan of photo manipulations because it's happening very often that there is a image edited fitting into any background... but I do not have the feeling here... The only thing I do not like is, that there is no really specific light source... the hair is almost reflecting everywhere, the face is more left-lightened, the forest from above, she throws the shadow forward - everything except her left boob is in shadow, both shoulders are almost equal bright... I do not say that it is wrong done, but I prefer to use one global light source and every additional source should be on the picture... However, it looks not perfect in my eyes but is really awesome.
Impact As mentioned, there is no special feeling on the second few... (my first reaction was "sadness") but the letter and the blurred birds and the violin and the clef blew my mind ( reminds me on a very personal sad feeling ) I do not like the few falling leafs... they look weird and do not fit the image that well, and there are only some in front of here, not in the background and not at the top... so... i do not like it, but I do not mind because it give the picture some extra-living and make it a bit more interesting... Would you lead the audience to a special feeling I would rate you very very high...
But I would feel very bad if I rate you down only for the this reason so I use my own expressions to rate now...
Very, very beautiful! I don't know ANYTHING about photomanipulation at all, but I know this is a piece of art that I really like. It's simply so magical, and it has so much meaning... And it's a beautiful style! Reminds me of Victoria Frances Love it!
